Worlds of Journalism

The Worlds of Journalism Study is a cross-national collaborative project assessing the state of journalism in the world through representative surveys with journalists.

In co-operation with UNESCO

UNESCO is the lead UN Agency for promoting freedom of expression and safety of journalists as part of its mandate to “promote the free flow of ideas by word and image”.

Legal Network for Journalists at Risk (LNJAR)

The Legal Network for Journalists at Risk (LNJAR) was launched in 2021 by the Committee to Protect Journalists, Media Defence and the Thomson Reuters Foundation to offer a single access-point to an ecosystem of legal support for journalists and independent media outlets around the world. A list of participating member organisations is available online. Assistance offered through these organisations ranges from urgent legal representation, to ongoing legal help throughout a case, to systemic support to improve the legal environment in which the media operates.
